Summary:

If your payment method is 'debit order'

(where we deduct amounts owed from your bank account, or credit card on file)

Domain name renewals will not be automatically included in these payment transactions; unless you explicitly set domains to auto-renew or manually renew the domain within your client area.

ie If there is an invoice issued for the renewal, it will be included in the debit order. These invoices are not automatically generated.

 

Details:

Please take note that new domain name orders of registrations and transfers are automatically disabled from auto renew. You are able to order a domain name renewal on your client area provided the domain name status is Active, please see the procedure below:

  • Log in to your customer area on https://my.hostafrica.co.za/clientarea.php
  • Go to 'Domains' and select 'Renew Domains'
  • Add the domain renewal/s to your cart
  • Select View Cart and select Checkout
  • Select your preferred method of payment, tick 'I have read and agree to the Terms of Service' and Complete Order
  • An invoice will be generated to be included in the debit order, once the debit order has been processed and the payment allocated then the domain name can be renewed

If a domain name is on any other status besides Active you can contact us for assistance with the domain name renewal. You can also request for domain names to be enabled on auto renew so the invoices for domain name renewals are automatically generated. Please send request from the authorized email address to billing@hostafrica.co.za for assistance.

 

You are also able to enable and disable domain names within your client area, please see the procedures below:To enable on auto renew:

  • Log in to your customer area on https://my.hostafrica.co.za/clientarea.php
  • Go to 'Domains' and select 'My Domains'
  • Select on the Active box to the right of the domain, you will be re-directed to the manage section of that domain name
  • Select on Auto Renew, and then select on Enable Auto Renew
  • An invoice will generate automatically according to the due date of the domain name to be included in the debit order, once the debit order has been processed and the payment allocated then the domain name can be renewed.

 

To disable from auto renew:

  • Log in to your customer area on https://my.hostafrica.co.za/clientarea.php
  • Go to 'Domains' and select 'My Domains'
  • Select on the Active box to the right of the domain, you will be re-directed to the manage section of that domain name
  • Select on Auto Renew, and then select on Disable Auto Renew to cancel the domain.
