Server Rescue Mode

Boot a small Linux environment from another disk

Rescue mode provides the ability to boot a small Linux environment from another disk so that you can rescue your primary Linux VPS or backup files that are present on it.

  1. Log in to your HOSTAFRICA Client Account > Services.
  2. Click on the "Active"  tab of the Server you wish to administer.
  3. Click on the "Recovery Mode" option. Enter and re-confirm your root password.
  4. Click on "Enable Recovery Mode"

Once recovery mode has finished loading the green button will change to "Disable Recovery Mode." Once you have completed your tasks click this option to disable recovery mode.
